Why StreamSecure?
A consistent issue with our media content owners is theft of the video stream or unauthorized access to the stream. DRM (Digital Rights Management) encryption solutions were generally cost prohibitive to impliment, which made it very difficult to achieve a reasonable ROI (return on investment) on your streamed content or ROE (return on Expense) from the DRM program.
Simple yet effective solution
NetroMedia has stepped in with a simple yet highly effective secure streaming solution that can be implemented at a fraction of the cost of most DRM solutions with the same level of security. Set up is quick and installation on your existing streaming program is invisible to your users.
How does it work?
This solution works by only allowing your stream to be streamed from the webpage of your choice. Combined with the secure authentication page hosted on the NetroMedia streaming server matrix. The typical protocol is:

Set-up a system which calls an embedded Windows Media player into an HTML page hosted on the client site.

A simple program calls the client video from the NetroMedia secure domain.

NetroMedia control system or transactional gateway instantly conducts referrer verification at that point.

When this happens and the referrer website/webpage is correct, NetroMedia then generates a token or pre-license and stores it in the NetroMedia Secure streaming database.

The stream starts loading for the viewer / user.

NetroMedia Windows Media servers will authenticate against the NetroMedia stored database token.

If the token is valid the stream will play, if the token is not valid the stream will not play.

If there is no play, a window notifying the viewer will display acces denied and please see streaming administrator or content owner.
Main Features
Client can create the ppsecure token or pre-delivered license ahead of time in the db server and email to specific users.
NetroMedia can create a report to indicate which ppsecure tokens or pre-licenses were delivered on the streaming server.
Pre-License Token System for Verification of Media.
Client clicks on an interactive link to request a media file.
NetroMedia Streaming Server receives request and sends request to NetroMedia Secure Application Server for verification.
The secure application server validates request with the database based on pre-set referrer rules, pre-license or token ID systems.
If the NetroMedia Secure Application Server sends back a positive response to the NetroMedia Streaming Server, the media file initiates the streaming protocol on the global matrix.
